What you need to know about NBC’s ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ series finale

NBC has announced that it is ending the first season of its hit reality series, “Bachelor In Paradise.”
The decision follows the network’s decision to end the popular series after eight seasons.
The network said it was ending the series because of a “number of factors,” including the popularity of the series, the challenges of scheduling and the impact it had on the business of reality television.
“We’ve seen the ratings decline significantly from its first season, and the viewership has fallen dramatically,” said NBC Entertainment Chairman Steve Burke in a statement.
“Our focus is to find a more sustainable way forward and make sure that the series is back on the air in the fall.”
The network added that it will continue to focus on other NBC properties and will focus on “business development and marketing” and other “strategic decisions” in the future.
The network also said it will make its series premiere in September on NBC.
The first season aired on October 3, 2015.
