MTV News article The first season of “Pilot,” which follows the adventures of a high school chemistry teacher and his student in their high school reunion, is ending.
The drama, which aired on cable last fall, was the series’ most-watched original series, averaging nearly 2.4 million viewers a day.
Its third season, which debuted in March, drew a total of 4.8 million viewers, and it averaged a 2.5 rating among adults 18-49.
The series, which stars Morgan Freeman, is set in the fictional district of San Luis Obispo, Calif., and stars Tyler Perry as the teacher, Aaron Tveit, who is also a student.
The show was written by Tony Scott, with Tony Kaye executive producing.
Tveit and Perry have said the series would be returning for a fourth season.
